SASSA Will Take Solutions to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency said it's alarmed with regards to the higher amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area daily. The provider level produced for intervention ordeals a substantial influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to help the servicing of all clients and increase use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
